sjeboyce asked: My husbands job requires him to travel all over the U.S. we are from Arkansas, currentally in Michigan and are about to go to Austin TX in a few weeks and will be there for a few months. I’m a stay at home mom and get tired of sitting at home. We usually stay in hotel suites ( Staybridge Suite or Candlewood Suites) and I love to shop and would love to take my daughte somewhere that she can interact with other little children her age…any suggestions? Also my husband lived in Houston for 22 years and are willing to go there too.

Joleen D asked: Would like to find some creative groups that may focus on adventure/murder mystery subjects in Austin, Texas. Also, if there is professor/instructor that is particularly good. I am also a middle aged woman and a first time writer.
Have tried the public library, bookstores, and the internet (for 4 hours). Only found a site where you can make a meeting if someone wants it.

GirlyGirl asked: Right now I live in the southern US and its nice and all but I’ve always been interested in Austin. What are things to see and do in austin such as zoos, parks, water features, etc. Also, Since I am considering a move there where can a SWF find a SFH in a safe area for less than 160k? Even willing to look at condos.

Corndog asked: I am looking for a nature area where we can hike into the forest or the hill country a couple miles and just set up camp in the middle of nowhere. I know most national/state parks have regulations regarding camping wherever you choose. I’d like something rustic, away from families, the more isolated the better. Im looking for something within 75 miles of Austin Texas but am open to all ideas.

chloe asked: I visited Austin and couldn’t get a good handle of the place. How is it living in Austin, Texas as a graduate student? Is there plenty to do? Do people kind of get lost in the undergraduate population? Are there enough amenities in the place to settle down in eventually?
